By using in-line Silver Recovery Units, the silver concentration in the fixer can be kept to a constant low level, which provides four important benefits:

It eliminates the risk of retained silver in the developed film, which would result in high minimum densities and a muddy looking image.
The fixer replenishment rates can be reduced to about 1/3 of the rate needed if running without a silver recovery system.
A significant amount of silver can be recovered and converted to cash.
It protects the environment by reducing contamination of the waterways.

Both Static and Rotating Cathode Silver Recovery Units are available, for use with the Fixer only, or for the Fixer and the Bleach solution. Capacities range from 25 to 150 Amps
